What's the difference between Support Coordination and Specialist Support Coordination?

A Support Coordinator and a Specialist Support Coordinator are very similar however there are some key differences.

A Specialist Support Coordinator will be funded where there are additional high or complex needs in your situation.

Specialist support coordinators will support you to manage challenges in your support environment which may include health, education, or justice services.
Specialist support coordination aims to reduce barriers to implementing or using your NDIS plan.

We are a Specialist Support Coordinator but we also provide general support coordination.

Evidence-based NDIS Planning
Define your future!
Defining your immediate and longer term future
For many, their NDIS plan will define their immediate future. For children, the right plan might define their lives.
If you have a well-considered pre-plan, supported by back up documentation the planners leave your planning session armed with all of the information needed to provide a plan that meets your needs based on the comprehensive plan we can deliver for you. We not only make planning easy for you but also for your LAC or your NDIS planner.
Having a pre-prepared plan also provides comprehensive evidence of the information provided to the planner if they did not listen or log your information accurately. If your plan falls short due to these reasons, and you need a review, you will have the evidence to support the review.

This will in most instances defray long delays in having reviews with appropriate-to-need plans signed off on. It will also defray the costs of wasted time in having to redo plans at a time where so much is expected of the planners as far as churning out the numbers of active continuing participants alongside people accessing NDIS for the first time.

If you have more complex support needs than most and would prefer to go into the NDIS planning session with a plan tailored to your needs, one backed up with evidence as to why certain supports are imperative, we will deliver this for you. We will support your planning process and work alongside you to develop your plan. We will look at all the planning domains necessary to support your specific needs.

Don't leave it to chance, make sure your plan is the right plan for you and that it covers your needs, hopes, dreams, and aspirations. When you are thinking about either your first or next plan you do need to think in terms of both long and short term.

If you are planning for a young person, watch the video on our Dare to Dream page and think about what is needed to build upon natural strengths, abilities, and passions.
